The People Behind Nila

Nila is shaped by a team that believes food is better when it’s built together.

Chef Rahul Sharma founded Nila to celebrate India’s regional ingredients through intimate tasting menus in Bengaluru. He began his career at Oberoi Hotels across Udaipur, Mumbai, and Gurgaon, later joining The Leela. A MAD Symposium scholarship for 10 global chefs introduced him to industry icons and got him excited to stage at Noma, the world’s top restaurant.

He was part of Masque’s founding team in Mumbai and set the food language for Araku Coffee in Bangalore and Mumbai. At Nila, Rahul crafts hyper-local, story-driven multi-course experiences celebrating the diversity of the country one region at a time.

Reservation Policy

Nila is a small, tasting‑menu restaurant with limited seats. To give each table the right amount of time and attention, we encourage reservation.

How do I book?
  • All reservations are made online through our booking link on this page.
  • Bookings open 15 days in advance.
  • For groups larger than 6 , please write to us at email so we can check availability and seating.
Timing & grace period

To keep the experience smooth for everyone. Please arrive on time for your slot. There is a 15‑minute grace period; after this, the experience may be shortened or the booking treated as a no‑show.

Cancellation & rescheduling

Because of our small capacity, last‑minute changes impact the entire service.

Our policy is:

  • Reschduling is allowed up to 72 hours before your date of dining.
  • No cancellation, rescheduling is allowed post the 72-hour period. Please plan well in advance

For buyouts, celebrations, or collaborations, please write to email with your date, time, and number of guests. We’ll get back with possibilities and a tailored format.
